Description
The Rebel Academy was founded by GED faculty expert, Dr. Lauren Zavrel, who has taught GED in English and Spanish for multiple colleges, and also teaches GED teachers how to more effectively get their students to the finish line. The Rebel Academy employs formerly incarcerated GED tutors to help students who feel they can never graduate — and they get them there. Dr. Zavrel, in partnership with Palmer House Productions, produced the 50+ videos in this course to develop a one-of-a-kind, math-specific class for students. Every lesson has a video that shows you how to prepare for the GED math test. We move from the very basics with negative numbers all the way up through system of equations and quadratic formula. We also have tutors available to you if you need extra human help!
The sections are color-coded. The easiest is green, followed by yellow, orange, red, purple, blue and finally black. For best results, do the lessons in order. As you watch the videos, there are worksheets and online practice problems embedded in each lesson, along with answer keys, so you can repeat the practice as much as needed before you move on.
If you find that you are struggling, you can connect with our online tutor to get help. The first session is free (included in the price of this course) for up to an hour of help!
